Mother nature has for ages provided man with food, shelter, clothing & all the basic things that one needs but men from time to time have been exploiting the natural resources and how! Climate change, caused by emissions & other human activity, is making the world warmer, disrupting rainfall patterns and increasing the frequency of extreme weather patterns leading to major events.

With the growing inventions, the nuclear power plant that is able to generate electricity for an entire city ultimately creates the nuclear waste which is the most difficult to discard. Plastic has become the most used material in human history! Plastic is present in everything, from what we wear to the food that ends up in our system! The increase in the level of Carbon-dioxide and other emissions have led to the depletion of the ozone layer thus a rise in the temperature. There are various visible effects of climate changes all around the world like melting of glacier’s, disrupted rainfall patterns etc.

And according to the US Geological Survey, Iceland’s 400-plus glaciers will decrease by 40% before the end of the century — and will “virtually disappear by 2200”.

Iceland’s first “dead glacier” reveal the ongoing damage of soaring temperatures in the Arctic.

As climate change becomes more palpable, some parts of India will be affected. As many as 2,400 Indians lost their lives to extreme weather events such as floods and cyclones, according to the environment ministry.

Overwhelmingly relying on coal for electricity, India accounts for about 5% of global emissions.

Delhi’s air condition needs improvement, Mumbai’s mangroves are in danger due to the greed for civilisation and floods recently in sangli are just examples of the extreme side effects.

Firefighters monitor a backfire while battling the Delta Fire in Northern California on September 6th, 2019.

Forest fires and deforestation is prevalent in other parts like the California wildfires & Amazon and people are raising their concern. BUT in India, Aarey is being deforested on purpose inspite of a wide protest campaign which the Supreme Court has blatantly turned down! We need to keep a check on civilisation and start protecting our mother nature.

“Climate change is no longer some far-off problem. It is happening here, it is happening now.”

-Barack Obama, former president of the United States of America.

We here at Billeasy are trying to persuade all the businesses to reduce their carbon footprint! 27,000 Trees are chopped daily for Paper Receipts and around 90% of these are thrown away!

Governments makes it mandatory for businesses to generate receipts and we as Billeasy provide them the technology to generate digital receipts instead and help them become environmentally sustainable! It’s time that consumers and big major brands who are responsible for major emissions, start saying NO to paper receipts!

Teaming up with brands such as Cottonworld and 5asec, who have gone green with us, have had a digital transformation with more than 1.5 lakh digital bills generated and saving upto 60 trees per brand per year, in a single city.

“It’s a collective endeavour, It’s collective accountability and it may not be too late.”

-Christine Lagarde on climate change.

Humans have come a long way and it’s still time to make a collective change. We as individuals must start leading an eco-friendly lifestyle to bring about a change NOW..
